Appointment setting for a kitchen remodeling company
Cold calling homeowners does not sell kitchens. Cold calling the people who send homeowners to you does: real estate agents with listings that need a kitchen before sale, interior designers without a build partner, architects doing additions, property managers, and the countertop showroom that does not install. Each is worth several projects a year, and most remodelers have never called any of them.
The mistake is calling with a pitch instead of an offer. "We are a kitchen remodeler, can we work together" gets a polite no. "We will do a free pre-listing kitchen assessment for any of your sellers, with a scope and budget range in 48 hours" gets a meeting. It takes four to six touches to land lunch with a busy agent. After two weeks, working means 150 to 300 referral partners listed, all of them called, and 6 to 15 meetings set for the owner or lead designer.
